Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has revealed his desire to return to Anfield for the final Premier League match of the season, but only if the Reds have officially secured the title.
In an interview, Klopp stated: “Yes, the plan is to be there for the last game, but I won’t be with the team or on the parade bus—I’ll be among the fans, the people I know so well.”
He added: “I didn’t want to return too soon to avoid disrupting the team, but if the title is confirmed, I will be there. I wouldn’t want to attend my first match back only for them to lose—that would be frustrating.”
Liverpool currently leads the Premier League table with 67 points, holding a 13-point advantage over their closest rivals. This puts them in a strong position to reclaim the title under Dutch manager Arne Slot, who took over after Klopp’s departure last summer.
Klopp remains a beloved figure among Liverpool supporters, having guided the club to major triumphs, including the 2020 Premier League title and the 2019 Champions League. Fans are eagerly anticipating the possibility of seeing him celebrate another league victory with them.
